Andrew Roberts Napoleon and His Marshals: Victory, Rivalry, Betrayal | Hereford Military History Festival
- 26th September
About This Event
Andrew Roberts is a biographer and historian of international renown whose prize-winning books include Napoleon the Great, George III and Churchill: Walking with Destiny. In this unique, pre-publication event, he discusses his new book Napoleon and His Marshals: Victory, Rivalry, Betrayal. He’ll tell the dramatic story of the talented men Napoleon appointed as Marshals of the Empire who helped him to victories across Europe. Instead of forging a team of rivals, as Abraham Lincoln so famously did, he created a nest of vipers who, through lust for glory, ambition and rivalries, betrayed Napoleon and destroyed the Empire they had built.
This event is part of the Hereford Military History Festival, 25-27 September 2026. Why not make a weekend of it? Read more here.
