The Old Stable Gallery in Leominster Information Centre, Corn Square, Leominster. Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday 9.30am to 4pm, Wednesday 1.30pm – 4pm Thursday 9.30am -11.30pm and 2.30pm-4pm.
Thirty-eight black and white photographic prints taken in the 1980s and 1990s. This exhibition showcases a small selection of images from an archive of around 300 black and white films taken over a 20 year period.
Following on from my 2025 exhibition ‘All Around Leominster’, I wanted to introduce images from other places whilst keeping Leominster in the ‘viewfinder’. The selected photographs are presented in pairs, one ‘home’ image (Leominster) with one ‘away’ image (elsewhere). Each pair is connected by subject matter or photographic style.
The exhibition is about noticing the connections between Leominster and the wider world. We in Leominster can be proud of our town, and these images situate Leominster as both an entryway and a point of return. It is always nice to come home.
When I took these photos I didn’t really appreciate how much things would change.
