Exhibition Open Evening - Skylark Horizons: Sarah Jane Brown

Join us for an evening of bubbles and nibbles as we introduce the ethereal landscapes of Sarah Jane Brown!

Skylark Horizons brings together landscapes from Sarah Jane’s home in Pembrokeshire alongside works inspired by en plein air studies made during recent visits to Herefordshire. Though these places lie on opposite edges of Wales, they became connected through a shared thread: the song of the skylark. Heard above the rolling hills of Herefordshire, along the Pembrokeshire coast, and drifting through the open doors of her studio, its song came to symbolise the freedom, light, and sense of space woven throughout the collection. Alongside this, poetry naturally emerged, making Skylark Horizons an especially personal body of work.
