Mark your calendars and get ready to celebrate Hereford’s famous connection to the apple! Hereford AppleFest commences with the AppleFest Kick Off in Hereford High Town on 30 September, followed by two weeks of apple-themed events around the County of Herefordshire.
Following the success of last year’s AppleFest Kick Off which saw hundreds visit the City Centre to take part, this year’s AppleFest Kick Off will take place on Saturday 30 September, from 12pm to 9pm. Visit Hereford High Town for a day full of live music and performances on the Encore stage, over 50 varieties of artisan cider, perry and apple juice at the CAMRA marquee, children’s activities, the Saturday market, and plenty more. It’s sure to be a day full of memorable and exciting experiences, so don’t miss out!
Herefordshire has the perfect soils and weather to grow the finest apples and pears in the world, not to mention centuries of experience in crafting fine apple juice, cider and perry. From 30 September to 15 October, a huge lineup of fringe events around the County will showcase Herefordshire’s long relationship with the apple. Featuring apple fairs, cider tasting, historic walks, family friendly events, cider making and plenty more, there’s an occasion for everyone.
