Hereford Guided Walks - Building Hereford Through the Ages - The Black & White House Museum
About This Event
Starting from our stand in Hightown we will visit the the Classical style Shire Hall & the Edwardian Baroque style Town Hall. We will see & hear the story of "The House That Moved" & the Norman market place with it's burgage plots still visible. Passing through Church Street with it's Georgian facades, we'll visit 2 examples of architectural recycling, the Bishop's Palace dating from the 12th century and finally view the Victorian Gothic City Museum with its extraordinary facade, & a neoclassical church. We won't have time to enter any buildings, but will indicate those that can be visited separately.
Come and chat to us at our stand - we will be there from 10am until 3pm.
