Join the NMITE RoboAcademy and discover how robots are designed, built and programmed to address real-world challenges.
A free, one-day hands-on robotics experience day for ages 14–18. Curious about how robots think, move and solve problems? Perfect for beginners, this interactive summer school introduces the fundamentals of robotics and programming in a fun, supportive and practical environment.
Available dates: 28th or 29th July 2026 10am till 4pm (Arrival from 9.30am) Lunch and refreshments provided (Please notify NMITE of any dietary requirements when booking)
What you'll learn: Morning Session – Build Your Robot Assemble a working robot from its component parts. Explore the key elements of robotics, including sensors, motors and controllers. Understand how hardware works together to create an autonomous robot. Afternoon Session – Code & Navigate Learn the basics of coding for robotics. Program your robot to complete simple navigation challenges. Test, troubleshoot and improve your robot's performance.
You'll gain: An introduction to robotics and programming. Practical engineering and problem-solving skills. Experience working with robotics hardware and code. Confidence to take your first steps into robotics and engineering.
No previous coding or robotics experience required. Just bring your curiosity!
