Ross Walking Festival 2022
From 23rd September 2022 until 25th September 2022
About This Event
24 guided walks over 3 days with experienced and informative leaders. Come and explore... from fossils to forests, soils to sculptures, tunnels to trains, hidden histories to ancient geology, habitats to hill scrambles - or even come and take photos with a different slant... We have walks for a range of abilities and love well-behaved dogs where possible (see individual walks for details). Above all, each walk will show off the beautiful scenery and natural heritage that is a feature of this part of South Herefordshire.
Ross is the place to be this September - it feels off the beaten track, perched on a huge rocky promontory overlooking the Wye and its horseshoe bends, with independent shops, vintage trails and great local coffee; but is surprisingly accessible, being just an hour from Bristol, Birmingham or Cardiff. Come and stay a while if you can - and explore further... Symmonds Yat with its peregrines and paddling, up to Hereford or the old market towns of the county, or take to the Black Mountains/ Malvern Hills for more dramatic walking.
