Treasures in Print: Printmaking Inspired by the Herefordshire Hoard
- 3rd September
About This Event
Discover the stories buried beneath Herefordshire’s soil in this hands-on printmaking workshop inspired by the extraordinary Herefordshire Hoard.
Participants will explore patterns, symbols, and imagery drawn from Anglo-Saxon and Viking art, using the Hoard’s exquisite metalwork as a springboard for creative expression.
Guided by an experienced printmaker, you’ll experiment with mark-making techniques, carve your own lino or foam blocks, and produce a series of unique prints that reinterpret the craftsmanship of early medieval Britain.
Whether you’re fascinated by history, eager to try a new art form, or looking for a creative way to connect with local heritage, this workshop offers a welcoming space for all skill levels.
All materials provided. Just bring your curiosity and be ready to unearth your artistic potential.
This event is being hosted at the Ewyas Harold Craft Centre from 5:30-7:00pm. Please arrive 15 minutes before event start for check in.
