Vikings at the Priory: Exhibition Guided Tours

About This Event
Small groups will be taken around the exhibition at Leominster Priory by Fr Guy Cole, putting into context the items on display, including the Herefordshire Hoard, the Hereford Gospels Today, and a range of artwork produced as community collaborations, pieces by local artists and students of Hereford College of Art. Each piece brings to life the history Vikings in the kingdom of Mercia and how they influenced the development of the local area around Leominster, the cultural differences and their legacy in our buildings, language, religion, art, warfare and daily life.
Booking in advance. is essential. The tours will take place inside Leominster Priory on the following days and times: Wednesday 27th May 9am and 5.30pm Wednesday 3rd June 9am and 5.30pm Thursday 11th June 6pm Wednesday 17th June 5.30pm Friday 19th June 11.30am

Disabled Access:
Generally no disabled parking at the church. Please drop people off at the door to the church by driving through the gates on Church Street and exiting the church drive through the gates into The Grange. If you do need a disabled parking space please call ahead 01568 612124.
Disabled Facilities:
Disabled toilet. Hearing loop. Wheelchair ramp inside the building to move between levels. This ancient building has many different floor levels and steps which are worn or uneven in places, so please take extra care or seek assistance when moving around.
