Vikings at the Priory: The Great Viking Stitch Up

In association with Leominster Festival Fun Day and the Black Crows, all day fun and frolics on a Viking theme on the Grange. Free, suitable for all ages, refreshments available.

Here’s a summary of some of things on offer: Stone masonry – have a go with a hammer and chisel under instruction from the Llangorren Stone Carvers Ring a mini-ring with the Leominster Priory Bellringers – using handbells to practice. Trollen wheel bracelet making. Pick a design, choose your colours and then get weaving. Treasure stories in a Viking Tent – on the hour. Enjoy a story about treasure and help to make up a new one – will it include dragons? Boat designs –Why are Viking ships so famous? Look at different designs, compare how they float, and make your own. Plus demonstrations and trials of Anglo-Saxon style embroidery and calligraphy.
