Made in the Marches Gallery
Made in the Marches is a venue to celebrate and showcase the work of both established and emerging artists and makers, living and creating in the Marches of Herefordshire, Shropshire and Powys. Themed and seasonal exhibitions offer a diverse and changing collection of art and craft, reflecting the talent and essence of the region. This characterful venue is fondly remembered by locals as a long-time cafe, and more recently Castle Hill Books now hosts regularly changing exhibitions and promotes creative events in and around Kington. With a growing range of art materials and kits, as well as beautiful cards and gifts set amongst artwork in all media, it is always a pleasure to visit and see what each season inspires from local artisans.

Caring For The Planet
We work with artists who care for and are inspired by nature; much of the artwork in our exhibitions addresses the artist's relationship to the natural world, and several of our regular exhibitors incorporate recycling as a key aspect of their practice.
Our packaging is recyclable and/or reused where possible, We are continually seeking out greener alternatives, such as biodegradable card wraps, recycled card stock and art paper.
