Explore Monoprinting with Nicholas Stevenson
About This Event
Nicholas will introduce his illustration and how he thinks about his creative practice, inviting you to come up with your own design for a monoprint illustration inspired by memory, dreams and the spaces around you.
You will learn illustrative drawing techniques, composition and visual storytelling. You will use these techniques to design your own rough illustration. We will then incorporate experimental mono printing and collage to add texture, colour and visual interest to your compositions. No previous experience required! Each participant will walk away with at least one completed illustration, made using professional materials and processes.
Materials
Sketch books and art supplies will be provided. Participants are welcome to bring their favourite drawing implements with them or papers to experiment with. You may also bring a beautiful or intriguing small object with you to draw! Bring an apron or clothes you don’t mind getting a little paint on.
Refreshments
There will be tea and coffee available and a selection of cakes, biscuits and fruit during breaks.

Paved access all on one level. There is a first floor to the showroom which is accessed only via stairs.
