Open Woods & Workshops - Whitney Sawmills' Open Day
About This Event
Come and see a working sawmill! Visitors can choose from timed sawmill tours throughout the day. Along with Sawmill tours, we're also featuring an exhibition of makers and stands from businesses associated with the timber industry. We will also have Origin Pizza van on site as well as a tea and coffee stand. Collaboration event: The Whitney Sawmills Open Day is designed to run in partnership with tours of the Duchy of Cornwall woodlands. Admission / Ticket Info:
General Admission tickets are FREE. This ticket does not include a tour of the Sawmill. Sawmill tours take place at 9am, 10am, 11am, 12 noon, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm. Tickets for the tours are £5.00 + £1.00 VAT per ticket. These tickets includes general admission to the site.
Disabled Access:
The site is partially wheelchair accessible. The lower level of the site is fairly flat, with the car park to the office being tarmacked. However, the terrain of the wood yard is uneven and fairly muddy in wet conditions, which may be unsuitable for most wheelchairs,
Disabled Facilities:
There is a toilet located in the main office, which is accessible by a ramp. However, it is not specifically a disabled toilet.
