The Night before Christmas - Brockhampton
About This Event
Time travel through 600 years of Christmas Eve at Brockhampton Estate’s medieval Manor House this year and discover what the night before Christmas looked like across the ages. Starting with fire, feasting and festive garlands in the 15th century hall, visitors journey through the banning of Christmas during the time of Cromwell, experience the refinery of a Georgian Christmas as well as a very Victorian Christmas, see and smell Christmas preparations in the Edwardian kitchen and finish with the bright lights, tinsel and cocktails of a 1950’s Christmas Eve.
Visitors can explore the manor house in all its festive splendour as well as enjoying a winter walk around the estate, taking a photo under the big bauble tree and warm up with a coffee or hot chocolate in the Granary Kiosk.
