Steam Open Day - The Waterworks Museum
About This Event
There's plenty for everyone at our first Steam Day of the year:

· Learn about the Herefordshire & Gloucestershire Canal Trust and meet their volunteers
· Watch the UK's oldest working triple-expansion steam engine in operation, as well as historic beam, gas and diesel engines spanning the industrial revolution to present day. Engineers are on hand to tell you all about the engines. · Enjoy the Water Park where children can learn about water, operate pumps, lift water from a well, push pumps and learn about water filtration.
· Follow the Frog Trail and do the Firefighting and Story of Water quizzes
· Discover what life was like in Hereford during World War Two
· Relax in our cafe and enjoy the short walk down to the River Wye
