There is so much happening across the County this Easter. From real fluffy chicks and family-friendly trails for the little ones, to guided cider tastings and wood-fired pizza for the grown-ups , we have your Easter break sorted.

Lambs & Mini-Animals at Small Breeds Farm Park

The sweetest place to visit this spring! Animal lovers and owl fans will have a wonderful time at the Small Breeds Farm Park near Kington, recently voted Visitor Attraction of the Year at the recent Visit Herefordshire’s Tourism Awards. Meet the pygmy goats, miniature horses, alpacas and many more friendly residents. The farm is also home to over 30 breeds of owl! 

£13.50 per adult and £9 per child and open every day 10.30am- to 5pm.

Herefordshire Histories Easter Trail at Hampton Gardens

Hampton Gardens Easter Trail invites guests to embark on a legendary quest through the weird and wonderful past of Herefordshire! Hidden within the gardens are 13 shimmering eggs, each guarding a tale from the county’s folklore. Track them down to discover stories of brave knights, sassy mermaids, and ghostly hounds, and decode the clues to reveal a surprise celebration.

Be sure to stick around and try out the newly refurbished Orangery Café, now managed by A Rule of Tum, the local team behind Hereford favourites The Bookshop, The Burger Shop, and Leaven. With a new artisan menu, proper barista coffee, and dogs now welcome inside, it’s the perfect place to round off a day exploring.

The Easter Trail, running 28 March - 12 April is included as part of General Admission tickets. Adults from £10.80, Child (3-15) from £7.20, Family (2 adults + 3 children) from £33.30, Under 3s Free. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

National Trust Easter Trails at Brockhampton and Croft Castle

The National Trust is putting on an Easter Trail at Brockhampton, a medieval manor house home to the largest orchard cared for by the National Trust. Situated in the north of Herefordshire near Bromyard, Brockhampton is home to over 145 acres of orchards, a picturesque, moated manor house and wonderful walking trails.

The Spring Sports Day Adventure Easter Trail promises to be a lively outdoor challenge bursting with mini games, playful competitions, and Easter themed twists around every corner. Perfect for active families and energetic explorers, this trail blends classic sports day favourites with springtime surprises. From bunnyhop races and egg and spoon sprints to garden inspired challenges, every activity is designed to get hearts pumping and smiles growing. 

Prices are £3.50 per trail, which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and dairy or vegan and Free From* chocolate egg.

Croft Castle, near Leominster in Herefordshire, will host a fun and lively Easter trail packed with playful activities the whole family can enjoy, including Easter challenges and springtime surprises set against the glorious backdrop of this much loved National Trust property. £3.50 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and dairy or vegan and Free From* chocolate egg. Normal admission to Croft Castle applies for non-members.

Jungle Book Easter Trail, Queenswood Country Park & Arboretum

Join the Jungle Book Easter Trail at Queenswood Country Park  Arboretum - Herefordshire Wildlife Trust's most visited nature reserve. Organised in partnership with The Courtyard, Herefordshire’s Cultural Creative Hub, the trail will be open from 12 – 27 April and will cost £4 per trail sheet. Follow the adventure through the arboretum, uncovering six immersive audio points along the way. The trail launch event will take place on 12 April with free WildPlay activities from 11am- – 2pm including Jungle Book mask making and Kaa Kites.

Entry to Queenswood Country Park is free (car parking charges apply)

Inflatable Family Fun - Flip Out Hereford

If your kids are of the bouncy variety, then whizz over to Flip Out Hereford where all manner of jumping and sliding is actively encouraged. It's an epic indoor adventure inflatable park which is perfect for those with high energy levels!  Whatever the weather, there's plenty of bouncing fun to be had, thanks to the 13 awesome attractions. Super Smashing Easter Treasure Hunt at Eastnor Castle

Eastnor Castle, less than three miles from the Market Town of Ledbury, is taking bookings for its Super Smashing Easter Treasure Hunt running from 10.30am until 5.30pm 29 March – 9 April. The Easter Bunny was getting ready to bake his famous cakes – but oh no! He’s dropped all of his eggs, and they’ve cracked and scattered across the castle and grounds. So Eastnor is inviting guests to hop in and save the day with the mission to hunt down every lost egg and piece together the recipe. Expect fun, giggles and plenty of EGGcitement along the way.

The hunt must be booked in advance and is running 29 March - 9 April, free of charge to visitors purchasing a Castle and Grounds Admission ticket. Family tickets (two adults and three children) cost £45. Adult tickets cost £15.50. Child tickets (3-15 years) cost £9.50. Family tickets from £30.

Visitors to Eastnor Castle will also enjoy the beautiful lakeside walks, the Knight’s Maze, the Junior Obstacle Course, adventure playground, woodland play area, rope swings and the stunning castle itself. Visitors are invited to bring picnics or eat in the Castle Tea Room.

Easter Egg Hunt at Grange Court in Leominster (free)

Grange Court in Leominster, built in 1633, is the last surviving market house known to be built by John Abel, a local master carpenter.  Today it is a Community, Heritage and Enterprise Hub which puts on some great events, including an excellent Easter Egg Hunt which will run on 4 April. Visitors are invited to find all the foods Peter Rabbit needs for his picnic. Collect clues along the way and complete the hunt to win a prize. With special appearances from the Easter Bunny and craft stalls, it looks set to be lots of fun for all the family.

Easter Egg Hunting The Nest at Little Verzons Farm

The Nest at Little Verzons Farm, less than a ten-minute drive from the vibrant Market Town of Ledbury, is an eclectic Farm Shop, Café and Plant Centre set in 14 acres of rewilding Herefordshire farmland with its own heritage orchard, lake and mature woodland. Their renowned Easter egg hunts and trails return for the 2026 running from 3 to 6 April, 10am - 4pm Friday to Monday. Free entry and parking with chocolaty prizes for the successful hunters!

Easter Egg Orchard Trail at Newton Court Cider, near Leominster

Cider fans looking for a day out over the Easter break should head to Newton Court Cider near Leominster. They will be open throughout the Easter holidays with plenty going on for families and food lovers. The Easter events begin on Friday 27 March with their first pizza night of the year, serving hand stretched pizzas from the outdoor oven. On Easter Sunday (5 April), they’ll be serving their traditional roast between 12pm and 2pm, perfect for a relaxed celebration with family and friends. Also during the holidays, children can take part in a special Easter egg orchard trail, and the lawn games will be back out for everyone to enjoy, weather permitting.

Easter Egg Hunt at Ralph Court Gardens, near Bromyard

Ralph Court Gardens is inviting kids to take part in the Easter quiz, 28 March - 12 April, and while you're there, keep an eye out for the dinosaurs which roam these gorgeous gardens. For added fun, book in advance for the magical Alice in Wonderland afternoon tea.

Ciderganza, Yew Tree Inn, Ross-on-Wye, 3 – 5 April

The Yew Tree Inn is hosing Ciderganza - its annual cider festival over the Easter weekend in their pub and large pub garden, featuring over 20 draught ciders and 60 bottled ciders, live music and Firebird Kitchen’s delicious wood-fired pizzas.

Guided cider tastings will be led by fourth generation cidermaker and farmer Albert Johnson, on Friday and by titan of British cidermaking and founder of Ross-on-Wye Cider & Perry, Mike Johnson on Saturday. These tastings will be held in their beautiful Event Room with a stunning wall mural of cidermaking through the seasons on Broome Farm.

On Sunday they will be hosting an open day at the farm for visitors to see a top-working farm diversification project in action! Their mission is to save historic varieties and preserve genetic diversity in apples for future generations, and to make some unusual and delicious ciders from it as well.

Free entry for the whole weekend except the ticketed cider tastings.
